It's Like Herding Cats

These are my partners in crime: Leo is three years old, a buff tiger boy who was orphaned with a sister at about 2 1/2 weeks old. It was a good thing too. He had pneumonia at the time, and it turned out that he has a cleft palate -- had he stayed with his feral mom, he would have died. He's smart and affectionate and still a wild child at heart. Mickey is our tuxedo cat. He's two and a half and we got him as a "birthday present" for Leo's first birthday. We adopted Mickey from a cage-free shelter, Kitty Cottage, when he was 6 months old. He's extremely bright, gentle and communicative, and he bonded with Leo immediately. Dot and Sophie joined the family when I brought them home from the KC to nurse back to health. They were 4 months old by then, but very undernourished and sick with kitty colds. I only meant to keep them a week or two....well, you know how that goes. They are now a year -and-a -half, robust and wonderful. Dot, of course is the one with the dot on her nose. She's in love with my husband, much to his delight. Sophie is the littlest one. She has all the others wrapped around her little paw-toe.
